MY STORY
Kelly Friend
I am a maker. I am compelled to create. I paint, illustrate, draw, build, sculpt, and make jewelry and soap. I grow gardens and enjoy making products from the things I grow. I cook and I bake. I write poetry and stories, play music, and sing. I have even been known to try sewing and crochet. There is a beautiful reward to the act of creativity in any form, no matter how good, or how badly it is done. Having created something is magical. I am inspired by the natural world, by the imaginations of children, and by the beauty that is found in the ordinary.
